The City of Roswell continues to demonstrate strong financial management and accountability. During the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, representatives from CKH Group, an Atlanta-based CPA firm, presented the Independent Auditor’s Report for the six-month period ending December 31, 2024.
The report, conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, found no material weaknesses in the City’s internal controls and no instances of noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations—reflecting Roswell’s sound fiscal practices and commitment to excellence.
The audit presentation followed the FY24 Six-Month Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) delivered by Chief Financial Officer Bill Godshall, who highlighted the City’s stable financial position during its transition to a new calendar-based fiscal year.
“Roswell’s financial house is in order, and this audit confirms the City’s continued strength and discipline in managing public resources,” said Mayor Kurt Wilson. “Our leadership team has worked diligently to build sustainable systems that serve our residents well. We’ve successfully transitioned to a new fiscal calendar and received independent confirmation that our financial statements are accurate and compliant.”
Auditors noted one deficiency related to year-end adjustments—common during fiscal transitions—which City staff are already addressing to further strengthen reporting accuracy.
The six-month audit period marked Roswell’s shift from a July–June fiscal year to a January–December cycle, aligning the City’s financial planning and operations with most other local governments and improving long-term budget consistency.
