The City of Roswell is inviting residents to weigh in on proposed transportation projects that could be funded through a renewal of the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) on the November 3, 2026, ballot. Residents are asked to take the City’s proposed project survey by May 6, 2026, as well as attend an upcoming public open house on April 30.
TSPLOST is a 0.75%—or three-quarters of a cent—sales tax paid by anyone who purchases taxable goods or services in Fulton County outside Atlanta city limits. First approved by voters in 2016 and renewed in 2021, TSPLOST has funded a wide range of transportation improvements in Roswell over the past decade. If renewed, TSPLOST 2026 is expected to generate $85–$95 million for Roswell over five years, through March 2032.
As part of the coordinated, county-wide process, all participating cities must provide Fulton County with a final list of potential TSPLOST 2026 projects by May 31, 2026. Roswell’s Mayor and City Council have worked with staff to identify project categories and specific projects from adopted transportation plans. Now, the public has an opportunity to help refine the list.
Review proposed projects and share your priorities:
- Take our online survey by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
- Attend the Joint Public Information Meeting on Thursday, April 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Hall, 38 Hill Street. More Information.
About the Potential Projects List and Next Steps
The proposed projects span four categories. Take the survey to see the full project list.
- Bridges: Replacement of two aging bridge structures at Old Holcomb Bridge Road and Oxbo Road
- Operations & Safety: Intersection improvements, roundabouts, signal timing upgrades, and median islands at key locations
- Pedestrian & Bike: New multi-use trails, path extensions, Vickery Creek trail rehabilitation, and sidewalk upgrades
- Programs: Citywide annual resurfacing and a residential traffic-calming program
Once the public comment period on the survey closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, City staff will present survey results to Mayor and Council during the Committee Meeting on May 12. Mayor and Council will then approve a final project list for submission to Fulton County by May 31.
Fulton County will compile project lists from all participating cities, and all jurisdictions will execute an Intergovernmental Agreement by July. A voter information campaign will follow ahead of the November 3, 2026, referendum, when Roswell voters will decide whether to renew the TSPLOST through March 2032.
