The City of Roswell officially marked the start of construction on the Riverside Park Renovation with a groundbreaking ceremony held Friday, March 13, 2026, at Riverside Park (575 Riverside Road) along the Chattahoochee River.

City Council, leadership, project partners, and community members gathered to celebrate the milestone project, which is funded through the voter-approved 2022 Recreation & Parks Bond and represents a major investment in Roswell’s River Parks Master Plan.

Riverside Park has long served as one of Roswell’s most beloved outdoor destinations—hosting concerts, festivals, and everyday recreation along the Chattahoochee River. The renovation will modernize park infrastructure, enhance accessibility, and expand opportunities for recreation and community gatherings while strengthening environmental stewardship across the site.

“This project reflects our community’s shared vision for investing in places that bring people together,” said Mayor Pro Tem Sarah Beeson during the ceremony. “Riverside Park has been a gathering place for generations, and this renovation will ensure it continues to serve residents and visitors for many years to come.”
