Mimosa Hall, one of Roswell’s most treasured historic properties, continues to shine as a centerpiece of the city’s Historic Activation Plan. The latest improvement project, focusing on the driveway, marks a significant step forward in enhancing safety, accessibility, and functionality while preserving Roswell’s historic charm and history.

As a cornerstone of Roswell’s Historic District, this transformation is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and is designed to create a lasting impact for both residents and visitors.

    Safety, ADA Accessibility & Beautification

The driveway renovation serves as a cornerstone in transforming Mimosa Hall into a more accessible and versatile venue for the community. Key elements of this project include:

    • Concrete Entry Apron: This new addition seamlessly connects the driveway to the street, ensuring compliance with ADA accessibility standards while also facilitating better vendor and emergency vehicle access for events.
    • Grading and Greenery: Behind the parking lot, workers graded and prepared the soil to support vibrant landscaping, laying the groundwork for a lush greenscape.
    • Energy-Efficient LED Lighting: Installed along the driveway, these lights enhance visibility and safety for visitors during nighttime events, adding modern functionality to the historic setting.
    • Greenscaping with Trees and Shrubs: Thoughtfully selected plants and greenery blend seamlessly with the estate’s historic aesthetic, creating an inviting atmosphere while preserving its timeless appeal.

As the Mimosa Hall Driveway Improvement project progresses, each milestone brings the community closer to a finished space that harmonizes with the historic character of the property while meeting the needs of its visitors.
