Roswell’s new downtown parking deck has completed its first month of operation, and early numbers show residents and visitors are already taking advantage of the additional parking capacity.

The deck, located at 1056 Alpharetta Street (SR 9), opened in early May and added 394 parking spaces to support downtown businesses, events, and the continued growth of the area.

  • Between May 8 and June 7, the parking deck recorded approximately 7,500 visits over its first 31 days of operation.
  • On an average day, about 242 vehicles use the deck. The busiest times are during the lunch hours of 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in the evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturdays have proven to be the most active day of the week, averaging roughly 350 visits.
  • The deck’s busiest day so far occurred on May 21 during Alive in Roswell, when 619 vehicles used the facility. By 8 p.m., the deck had reached nearly 88% capacity, demonstrating its value in supporting downtown events and providing convenient access for attendees.
  • Data also shows that most visitors stay between one and two hours, reflecting the deck’s role in supporting dining, shopping, and entertainment destinations throughout downtown.

Parking at the deck remains available at no charge while nearby Green Street is under construction, providing additional convenience for residents and visitors.

As downtown Roswell continues to grow, the parking deck is helping improve accessibility and enhance the overall visitor experience.
